Let we use the same example as previous post. Type of relation for above diagram is many-to-one relation.
Set 'Student Name' is called the domain/object of the relation
All elements ( Steven, Bruce, Edward, Sally, May ) in Set A is called object
Set 'Shoe Size' is called codomain of the relation
Any element in set 'Shoe Size' that has been mapped was called image for the domain. '6' was not an image for above relation because no domain mapped to '6'
Range is any output produce from the function, from a given codomain
The Range is a subset of the Codomain.
